Barrett Begins Crib Eviction

Ellie will be here in seven weeks or less. Barrett has just seven weeks to get moved out of the crib. We took the side rail from the crib off a couple weeks ago and he's done a stellar job of adjusting. The first couple nights he didn't even try to get out of bed. Nap times were a little more challenging, but it only took a couple trips putting him back in bed before he stayed. His nightly thing now is filling up his bed with books. It's a quiet activity and he seems to be getting enough sleep, so we just let him have at it.

It looks like there are a plethora of things in his bed.

leave the crib to fill his bed with books.

Big boy beds are always more fun when shared!

His next step will be moving from this toddler bed sized mattress to a twin mattress. We're debating bunking the boys' beds, but I'm concerned about Gabe being able to make trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night from the top bunk. We've still got seven weeks to decide...and if we do it and it doesn't work out, we'll just un-bunk them.
