Story Time With Uncle Will

A couple weeks ago, Casey's brother Will and his family came to visit all the way from Alabama. Gabe was very excited to have his little cousins visit and while they were here we had lots of fun together. Since that visit Gabe has continued to call every young girl from the age of 10 and younger, Abby. Just today at the doctor office there was a girl about the age of six. And, it was Abby this and Abby that from Gabe.

Speaking of the doctor's office...Gabe's 18 month check up was today. He weighed in at 25 pounds, and measured 33 1/2 inches tall. That's a one pound loss since May and a 2 inch gain in height. No doubt my baby's gonna be a big boy. Dr. McQ says he's a dandy. And, on a strange note...he also told my husband it was about time we got to work on number two. Awkward!

And for all of you that are now wondering to yourselves, no we are not planning for number two right now. Right now we are focused on work and Casey's school and achieving our dreams of allowing me to stay at home to raise babies.

Back to story time with Uncle Will...

When the Smiths were here to visit Gabe shared some library books with Abby and Jacob and Uncle Will was kind enough to read them to the kids. They were all fabulously illustrated children's books written by Mem Fox. Gabe is still enjoying them. I think they're due back to the library next week...I should probably check into that.

Here are the photos from story time and a little fun afterwards.

Definitely enthused.

Oh, Jacob. I love your cheesy little face.

Where's Jacob? Where's Gabe?

There they are!

Where'd the kids go?

There they are!

Oh my. World.....meet my son......
Mr. Class Clown himself.

And, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love that Gabe is so full of life and just a little more than ornery. He certainly keeps us on our toes.

  1. Gabe has been calling Hillary Abby too. He must have really loved playing with Abby.
