Christmas 1: Grandma Danel's House

On the day my Christmas break began Casey's brother and his family traveled up from Alabama to stay at his mom's for a few days. We were so glad to be able to spend some time with them before we left town for my family's Christmas.

Jacob and Gabe are almost exactly the same size now. Jacob is seven months older than Gabe. Abby is attending school for the first time this year and she impressed me with her letter writing skills and "I live where it's hot...." games.

On Saturday afternoon we celebrated the gift opening portion of Christmas at Grandma Danel's house. There were presents (i.e. toys) galore. The opening of gifts was a little chaotic, as the pictures will show, but the kids had a blast.

On Sunday we got all dolled up and took a family picture together. Of the 35 shots we took, we ended up with one that had everyone looking at the camera with eyes open. So, I'd say it was a success.

On Monday the grandkids played in the leaves with Grandma. They absolutely loved it.
