Projectile Vomit and All That Goes With It

I completely understand if zero people read this post. It doesn't exactly have an inviting title. However, it is the life I've been living since Tuesday. Poor Gabe has more than just a touch of the stomach flu. The little guy has been projecting his vomit (and projecting other unfortunate things that we won't discuss further) for four days now.

As any concerned mother might do, we had Gabe see Doc McQ  on Wednesday (who also had the stomach flu just last weekend) and he determined Gabe definitely has a stomach virus (ya think?) but not to worry too much and that it would pass in three or four days. He's only lost 4 oz. since his last weigh in at 9 months and Doc McQ said he seemed plenty well hydrated so no reason for concern at this point. He said to keep him stocked up on Pedialyte and whatever formula or food Gabe would allow.

We thought things were finally turning around yesterday when he ate a half jar of chicken noodle dinner....but four hours later when we were getting him ready for bed he went ahead and gave back the half jar to our freshly steam vacced living room area rug. So, it got another steam vac late last night before Casey went to bed.

I have done seven loads of laundry since Tuesday....all victims to Gabe's virus. We're keeping things washed up and sanitized as best we can and hoping all of this ickiness will be gone by the time Christmas festivities begin. I haven't taken any pictures in the last few days because of Gabe being sick. So, here's a couple of pictures from a happier time in Gabe's life for old times sake.

6 weeks old and all kinds of flirty

7 months old and happy to be alive

Whoops! How'd this one get in here?
I'm a terribly funny----er---I mean-----terrible mom!

If you're happy and you know it....

....then your face will surely show it...

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. *Clap* *Clap*
