After a delicious breakfast of biscuits and gravy we headed into town so Gabe and his big cousin could meet Santa Claus and I could snap a few pics of Gabe's first encounter with the man in red.
Here's a shot of Gabe and Bryson getting acquainted with Santa. They were a little leery at first, as is to be expected with a two year old and a nine month old.
Want a candy cane?
Candy cane for you, maybe?
So, Grami got them good and warmed up to Santa. Then, it was time for their individual shots. Gabe was up first.
Yeah, not a Santa fan. Definitely not.
Bryson may not forgive me for this one for a while.....
Also, while we were there Gabe decided to show us a new trick he's learned.
Cool trick huh?
And, this wasn't standing for a millisecond either. He was full on 30 second balancing himself to stand without assistance. It made my heart leap for joy. My little baby (okay, so maybe he's not that little) will soon be terrorizing our house on two chubby little legs (as opposed to the terrorizing he does now on two arms and two legs). Then the trick ended something like this.
London Bridges falling down, falling down.
And, on Sunday morning in between a breakfast of made-from-scratch pancakes and eggs (with real farm eggs, not the store bought kind) and a lunch of stromboli (aka sandwich heaven) we had some fun with Grami's Christmas sleigh....and there were no scary Santas.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Bryson proves he's not too big for the sleigh.
Okay boys, now one last picture....how about a hug?
ummm...not so much
More pre-Christmas festivities at my house for tomorrow's blog!
