After the egg hunt, Bryson's mom and dad kindly let him get the Gator out. For those of you not from the country, this is basically a cross between a four wheeler, wheel barrow, and golf cart. There are gators for big people, you often see these on football fields and such carrying water, or athletic trainers and their supplies.
Bryson's gator is just for little tikes but comes complete with a gas pedal, brake, and bed that lifts to dump contents. There are two seats in front, but being that Gabe is just learning to be stable on his feet, we didn't really trust him to sit in the front seat and hold on. So, he was lucky enough to ride in the bed of the gator, while Bryson drove. The following series of photos tells the story of how that worked out.
Gabe has just been loaded in, and Bryson takes off gleefully.
Hey, would you slow it down up there?!
Gabe: Seriously! Slow down!
Bryson: Never....muah-hah-hah-ha!!!!
Yes, now that's a nice pace.
Now, everybody's havin' fun!
Grami lets Gabe have a try in the front seat.
Gabe: Hey, Bryson?
Bryson: What?
Gabe: Ya think maybe I could drive?
Bryson: Don't even think about it.
Grami: Who wants to drive next?
Wait for it....
Wait for it....
Wait for it....
Gabe: ME! Oh, pick me! Pick me! PICK MEEEEE!!!!
Bryson: I hate you.
The rookie looks a little nervous so both boys hold on for dear life.
Bryson: Gabe I believe your turn is now over.
Now, those captions, and Bryson's face, were just too funny to not tell the story that way. But, in all actuality Bryson was very good about letting Gabe take a turn driving. And, when Gabe rode in the bed Bryson was constantly looking back to check on Gabe. Both boys loved the entire ride.
I think as they age it will be more difficult to get them to share, but for now it is working well. Just see for yourself how much love there is....
Now, isn't that a sweet ending?
Well worth the 20 bucks we spent on that Gator!
