FWC Hallelujah Carnival

Sunday evening we volunteered to help with the Hallelujah Carnival at First Wesleyan Church. There were concessions, games, inflatables, and LOTS of good candy. They had the church split into three major areas....carnival games for toddler-lower elementary aged children, the giant inflatables open to everyone, and then an area for carnival games for upper elementary-college aged students.

Casey and I ran the Hut Hut Hike game from the popular tv show "Minute to Win It". The object of the game was to hike (like a football) five rolls of toilet paper through the hoola hoop before a minute had expired. Almost all of the kids were able to accomplish the feat and as a reward helped themselves to the candy bucket. The same candy bucket Gabe cried and threw fits over nearly the entire hour and a half we were there. He had gotten a taste of what Halloween candy was all about the night before and he wasn't about to let us forget it.

Unfortunately for him, I didn't think he needed much more candy so he was allowed a couple of Starbursts, and then it was raisins or nothin' pal. And, of course by the end of our shift he had devoured his entire bag of raisins.

After our shift was over, it was getting late, so instead of taking Gabe through the carnival games we left to visit Casey's grandma, GG.

Here are the photos from Gabe's second Halloween Night.

If this ain't an Uncle Charlie pose,
I don't know what it is...

Please Daddy!

Who could be at the door?

It's GG!

And, time at GG's was a great cap to our two day celebration of Halloween. Thanks for visiting with us GG!
