We traveled back the way we came and stopped at Forest Canyon for some amazing pictures in the Alpine Tundra. While we were there we saw a marmot sunning. The kids thought it was the greatest thing. So did I.
Pretty sure Mom's not watching the road.
Again.
Beauty and wonder all around.
Do you spot the marmot? Gabe did!
There he is!
We learned later that this was a rare sighting as well.
Man, they're cute!
Don't worry, there's not a steep drop off on the other side of this ledge.
Wait. Where's Barrett?
Oh, there he is. Of course.
Throwing a tantrum because he didn't want a family picture
with the most gorgeous alpine tundra mountain view in the background.
Get together, people.
Not quite...and then Grami says...
"Ok! Who wants fruit snacks?!"
And, bam. Instant cheese.
Don't be too grossed out by the over exaggerative kissers.
Mom and Dad in their riding gear.
Charlie, Kaci and the babies.
Just beautiful.
Probably already said that.
Still true.
Yes, this is what it looks like in real life.
Barrett thinking it's really nap time.
The drive back toward Alpine Visitor Center.
Traffic was much heavier on our way back through the mountains.
That's probably enough photos for one post...wrapping up an amazing day six in the next post!
