Gabe has just passed another cognitive milestone. You can no longer hide an object (example...box of gummisavers belonging to his daddy) and expect Gabe to forget that it ever existed. Hidden objects are permanent and he can follow them to their hiding spot and claw and climb until he has retrieved them.
Casey was also especially impressed this evening with Gabe's ability to remember which button to push to make his phone light up.
"Look, Julie. I can hand it to him upside down and he can find the button. Here, look now. I can hand it to him backwards and he can still find the button!" -Casey
Smartest baby in the world, here. JK! Well, kind of....
Yummiest phone in the world.
Brown or Green? Green or Brown?
Greown? Broeen?
Hazel.
Then, tonight we ate at Outlaw's Chophouse and did squeeze a lemon in his mouth and he didn't even flinch! And, getting him to eat some chicken and corn was challenging to say the least. He has taken to spitting out food he doesn't care for one tiny dropping at a time. Example: Give him a spoon of five kernels of corn and he will spit every single kernel out of his mouth one by one until they're all gone. It's really, really, really hard not to laugh at him. And, five minutes later, give him corn on a spoon and he will eat it up like he knows he won't be eating again for the next seven days. It's kind of like pulling the lever on a slot machine. Sometimes you lose your investment and other times you hit the jackpot with no real rhyme or reason between winning and losing.
Oh, what we have in store when he begins using words....
